A teenager seriously injured with a stabbing after a fight in Champigny-sur-Marne

A 14-year-old boy, seriously injured, was between life and death Monday after a new brawl between gangs of young people in the Paris region, where two college students were fatally stabbed in February.

“Four minors have been placed in police custody” after the confrontation which occurred in Champigny-sur-Marne, a dozen kilometers east of Paris. A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured in the chest with a stabbing weapon and “His vital prognosis is engaged”. The teenager went into cardiac arrest and was revived by firefighters.

Rival neighborhoods

The clash occurred around 6 p.m. in the city center of Champigny-sur-Marne, where at least fifteen young people from separate neighborhoods clashed, said the Créteil prosecutor’s office. The investigation was entrusted to the territorial security of Val-de-Marne.

Thirteen minors in total were indicted for these two tragedies. This violence has become a political issue.
