How to make Arhar Dal Tadka
Use a handi or any thick layer and deep vessel to make this dal, not a cooker. First of all, soak the lentils in water for 3 hours. Now wash it thoroughly and put it in the vessel. Now add chopped onion, tomato, ginger paste, turmeric and salt to it. Now leave it to boil for some time and keep stirring it in between. Along with this, you also have to take care of the amount of water that the dal is neither too thin nor too thick.

For tempering, heat a deep vessel and add ghee to it. When the ghee becomes hot, add cumin, asafoetida, curry leaves, finely chopped onion and ginger garlic paste. When it is roasted, add kasoori methi to it. Fry this tempering till ghee leaves the bottom side. Now put the cooked dal in this tempering. Now mix it well and turn off the gas and add lemon juice to it and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
