Ayushmann Khurrana’s biggest regret for not meeting Kishore Kumar

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana on Saturday acknowledged the impact of late singer and actor Kishore Kumar on his life and career on the occasion of Guru Purnima. Ayushmann Khurrana has called the veteran Bollywood star an ‘institution’.

Ayushmann Khurrana said that ‘Kishore Kumar is not just a legend and an icon, he is an institution. He has always been a beacon of inspiration for me, his songs have given me my biggest lesson when I decided to pursue my passion for music and I am in awe of the legacy he has left behind. ‘

Ayushmann Khurrana credits actor Kishore Kumar for shaping the film industry, delivering eight hits back to back. Ayushmann Khurrana said, “Kishore Kumar was the multi-talented showman of the century and as an artiste, I find him fascinating. He shaped the industry, inspired musicians for generations, and made a name for himself in the history of the Indian film industry and music.’

Ayushmann Khurrana said, ‘Honestly he is my mentor and always will be.’ Ayushmann Khurrana, however, has a lot of regret. He said, ‘It is my biggest regret that I did not get the opportunity to meet him and seek his blessings, but through his music, I am blessed to understand his talent.’

Talking about Ayushmann Khurrana’s films, he will soon be seen in Abhishek Kapoor’s film ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’, Anubhav Sinha’s film ‘Anek’ and Anubhuti Kashyap’s film ‘Doctor Ji’.
