Champions League: the gesture of the players of PSG and Basaksehir against racism

In the aftermath of the racist incident which led to the historic stoppage of the PSG – Basaksehir match in the Champions League, the players of both camps returned to the lawn with a special t-shirt. Messages were also displayed in the gallery.
Before resuming the PSG-Basaksehir Champions League match where it left off yesterday (13th minute), players from both camps warmed up with a “No to racism” t-shirt. The twenty-two players as well as the referees of the match wore it throughout the pre-match.
After returning to the locker room and entering the field, they did not line up facing the stand as usual. During the anthem of the Champions League, all the players in the meeting knelt around the central circle, and raised their fists.
Parisian supporters also reacted via two banners deployed in the Auteuil turn, usually occupied by the Ultra Paris Collective. One could read in particular “Support for Mr Webo … Proud of the players … Against racism“and “Paris united against racism”.
