The guarantee funds against the Covid-19 risk of interruption of filming and television shows, which had been extended until the end of 2021, are further extended until the end of March 2022, the ministry announced on December 31. of the culture.

“In view of the epidemic situation, it was decided to extend these funds to ensure the maintenance of the shootings planned in the weeks to come”, he said in a statement.

Two funds had been set up in France at the end of spring 2020, after the first containment, to support a rapid resumption of production.

One, managed by the National Center for Cinematography and Animated Image (CNC), guarantees film shoots. The other, managed by the General Directorate of Media and Cultural Industries (DGMIC), allows compensation for so-called flow television programs (games, magazines, entertainment, etc.) “for claims occurring from June 1, 2020”, explains the ministry.
