Coronavirus: SBI estimated second wave to last for so many days, know what else is in the report

Coronavirus Second Wave: In the last 24 hours on Thursday, the highest number of corona virus cases were reported since November 6, 2020. The number of reported cases of infection in the country stood at 53, 476. Maharashtra and Punjab are the worst affected states in the second wave of corona virus. An analysis of the second wave of infection of the country started in the month of February has been analyzed in the research report of SBI. According to the report, the entire duration of the second wave can last for 100 days, that is, it is not going to get rid of until May 26.

Second wave of corona more in intensity than the first

‘The second wave of transition: the beginning of the finale?’ In a report prepared by the name, Chief Economic Advisor Dr. Soumya Kant Ghosh says, “Although the experience of global Kovid-19 is much higher than the second wave in intensity compared to the first wave, the presence of the vaccine in the present situation makes a difference. And has shown India’s position in terms of control better. “

Kovid-19 vaccination campaign started in India from January 16 and till March 24, 5.31 crore people have been dosed. More than 20 percent of the elderly population has been vaccinated in states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kerala, Uttarakhand and Haryana. The concern is for states like Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and West Bengal as the vaccination process is quite slow and the pace needs to be accelerated.

Increased Infection Cases Are the fragrance of lockdown?

According to the report, if India is able to vaccinate around 40-50 lakh people every day, then the population above 45 years can be vaccinated in 4 months from now. The sharp rise in Kovid-19 cases across the country raises fears that the lockdown may not return as it did last year, if not in the entire country, at least in the worst-affected states. .

The report suggested that lockdown or restriction at the local level certainly did not help in controlling the spread of infection. Therefore increasing the pace of vaccination is only one way to win the war against the Kovid-19 epidemic. However, the report praised India and said that the country’s role is the best among the emerging economy.
