A campaign “exceptional” screening for Covid-19 will be organized in Dunkirk (North), in the face of the worsening health situation, marked by a strong circulation of the variant identified in the United Kingdom, announced Monday, February 15, the Regional Agency for health (ARS).
Free tests, without an appointment and without a prescription, will take place on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 February in the municipalities of Bergues, Cappelle-Brouck, Dunkerque and Wormhout for “facilitate access to the test as close as possible to the inhabitants’ places of life or work”, announced the ARS of Hauts-de-France.
In addition, 2,400 doses of Moderna vaccine from “regional security stock”, “will be allocated to the urban community of Dunkirk and the Hauts-de-Flandre community of municipalities”, intended primarily for “vulnerable people at home”, adds the ARS.
The surroundings of Dunkirk have known for several days a worsening of the epidemic situation, marked by a large number of cases of the variant identified in the United Kingdom with “more than 70% of positive RT-PCR tests in some laboratories”.
