Covid-19: Can Christian Estrosi buy Russian vaccines for Nice?

THE CHEKING PROCESS – The mayor of the Riviera city declared that he had made an “agreement” for the purchase of doses of the Sputnik V serum. Does he have the right?
Some are impatiently awaiting the Sputnik V vaccine. Asked on BFM TV on Tuesday, the mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi, revealed that discussions had taken place with a view to acquiring doses for the people of Nice. This serum “is used in 48 countries around the world. It seems, according to scientific studies, to have proven itself. […] As there is no European order, we could commercially place some. It is necessary [encore] that the High Authority of Health gives the green light. […] Today I just have an agreement [avec les fabricants]” . Pre-orders? “We can consider it as such”, continues the chosen one. But does a mayor really have the right to acquire doses of vaccines for his constituents himself? Can Nice one day be the only place in France to have the Sputnik V vaccine?
CHECKS – The Russian serum, defended by Vladimir Putin, has not – for the moment – the green light from the European Medicines Agency. And therefore not yet the wagering authorization
