Covid-19: the number of hospitalized patients and deaths continues to drop in France


The disease killed 13 patients in 24 hours, for a total number of 110,420 deaths since the start of the epidemic more than a year ago.

The number of patients with Covid-19 hospitalized continued to decline on Sunday June 13, according to data from Public Health France. France had 12,480 people hospitalized on that date, a figure at the lowest since mid-October. The decline in the number of patients treated in critical care, for the most serious forms, also continued, with 2,106 patients, to the lowest since October 19.

The daily number of new admissions to these services is also declining, with only 26 patients affected. This figure is usually low on Sunday, but it had not been so low since September 20 (24 patients admitted to intensive care). The country was then at the very beginning of the second wave of the epidemic.

As for contamination, the decline continues with 2,855 new cases over 24 hours, against more than 5,000 recorded the previous Sunday. The disease killed 13 patients on Sunday, June 13, bringing the toll of the epidemic to 110,420 deaths. Finally, 30.25 million people have received at least one injection of the Covid-19 vaccine, and 15.76 million are fully vaccinated.
