This is the back-to-school family exhibition to be discovered at the Cap Sciences museum in Bordeaux until November 7, 2021. Disgusting Food Museum is both an exhibition and a sensory experience imagined by the Disgusting Food Museum from Malmö to Sweden and traveling the world. An educational and pedagogical way to understand the differences in tastes and culinary traditions around the world.
Maggots in cheese, frog juice or even a bat fillet … 80 not really appetizing dishes that are to be discovered, smelled, touched and sometimes even tasted in this culinary laboratory of a new kind.
Because the Disgusting Food Museum is not a classic exhibition. here, the senses are awakened to discover what causes in each of us the sensation of disgust! “It’s an exhibition that works very well with families” explains Raphaël Dupin, director of Cap Sciences. “In fact, we all want to face this disgust, to face what others eat”. Smelly cheese, turtle soup, insects of all kinds, this fun and educational event is above all an opportunity to learn about the differences in tastes between countries and cultures. What is good here is not necessarily good elsewhere.
In Bordeaux, it is the Cap Sciences museum, focused on sciences and discoveries that hosts this traveling exhibition, imagined in Sweden by the Disgusting Food Museum from Malmö. The cities of Nantes, Berlin and even Los Angeles have already hosted this anthology of the least inspiring food in the world.
