Employment: the government wants to triple the recognition of diplomas through experience

The start of the new school year promises to be studious for the social partners. In addition to pensions, unemployment insurance or even branch wage policies, the government will invite unions and employers to work on the validation of acquired experience, the VAE. Unlike the aforementioned subjects, this consultation should not encounter any major obstacle, as the system – which consists in having what has been learned through practice recognized – is consensual. Consensual but mired in its heaviness twenty years after being born. To meet the objective, a major reform will be necessary.

“We want to increase to 100,000 courses per year within five years, i.e. three times more than in 2021. The major challenge will be to simplify and not pass validations by modules, it is important for the professions care for example”, indicates to “Echos” the Minister Delegate in charge of Vocational Education and Training, Carole Grandjean.
