Many people were surprised when Aryan, the son of a drug addict, was not granted bail on Friday, October 8. No drugs were recovered by the Narcotics Control Bureau from Aryan. In such a situation, it was believed that the court could release Aryan on bail. However, this did not happen and Aryan’s bail application was rejected even after more than 4 hours of debate. Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, who appeared in the court on behalf of the accused, had claimed that the court in which Aryan’s petition was filed could not grant him bail. Supporting Anil Singh’s claim, the court held that the agency is yet to investigate further in the matter. Along with this, the court also rejected the bail plea of other accused including Aryan. An NCB official said, “It is a big victory for us, especially when some people were accusing us that we have arrested innocent people. The court has found merit in our case. Even if bail is granted in this case later, we have proved our point. The officer said that the court’s quashing of bail confirms that the NCB has acted properly. The NCB official said, “When the Additional Chief Metropolitan Court rejects a bail application, it means that it sees merit in the case. Therefore, the court rejected the bail applications of all the accused. Surely now those who were criticizing NCB will shut their mouths. The official said that it is wrong to accuse NCB of acting under any political pressure.
