Facebook announced Friday, June 4, that it had suspended Donald Trump for two years. The social network also explained that politicians would now be punished like other users when they break the rules, especially in the event of disinformation.
The former US president will only be able to return when the “public safety risks will have disappeared”, said the platform. Facebook had temporarily excluded Donald Trump on January 7 for encouraging his supporters during the attack on the Capitol in Washington, an unprecedented decision.
