Two men aged 23 and 27 were killed on Friday September 3 in two paragliding accidents in Haute-Savoie, reports France Bleu Pays de Savoie.
A trainer at the Saint-Gervais ski club who left for a flight near the Aiguille du Midi on Thursday, September 2, was found in critical condition after an accident. The paraglider’s vital prognosis was engaged when he arrived at the hospital. The 27-year-old died the next day from his injuries.
On Facebook, the Saint-Gervais ski club, which announced the death, testifies to its “deep sadness” by paying tribute to his trainer, “with a jovial and fiery temperament”, while reserving his thoughts for the relatives of the victim.
This Friday, a second paraglider lost his life in the town of Saint-Sigismond. The 23-year-old fell more than 30 meters with his device.
Arrived on the spot, the firefighters immediately noticed his death.
