Spicy Food Side Effects: Spices are added to our food to improve the taste. Indians love their spices. You will get to see different types of spicy food in every state. Everyone has their own different way of making. But did you know that highly spicy food can cause many stomach problems.

Excess consumption of spicy food can be the cause of various stomach diseases. The main reason behind these problems is the presence of high acidic content in spicy food. However, spices provide a lot of vitamins and nutrients which are abundant. But intake of it in excess can have a bad effect on our body.

Loss of appetite: It is okay to consume spicy food in moderate amounts. You can eat 2-3 times a week, but daily intake can have a bad effect on your body. If you eat more spicy food then you may experience loss of appetite.

Gastric ulcer: Spicy food can cause sensitive mucosal lining or small intestine ulcers. This causes abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and weight loss.

Stomach irritation: Eating more spicy foods causes stomach irritation, which can cause you discomfort.

Spicy food should not be taken late at night. If you are experiencing digestive problems due to spicy food, then leave out the food immediately. To avoid damaging your stomach, minimize the intake of spicy foods.
