You are part of the expatriate French, who have been vaccinated in a State other than those of the European area including the countries of the European Union as well as Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway and Switzerland ( these states already issue a digital Covid certificate valid in France).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs unveiled Monday, August 2 a device which now allows French nationals who have been vaccinated in other countries to benefit from a health pass valid in France and in the European area mentioned above.

Three conditions have been set by the ministry to take this step: to be French nationality or having the right of a French national, be aged 18 years or older (since the pass will only be required for minors from September 30) and having been vaccinated with a vaccine recognized by the European Medicines Agency (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca or Janssen) or an equivalent of these vaccines and have completed their vaccination schedule (see condition at the bottom of the article)
Once the conditions are met, you have to fill out a form to convert your vaccination certificate (obtained abroad) into a “French health pass”. To this document, you must add a copy of French identity document, a copy of the vaccination certificate mentioning the vaccine received and proof of residence abroad.
This file must finally be sent by email (with a subject in the format: COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE / LAST NAME First name) to an address corresponding to the region of the world in which the national lives, the list of which can be accessed here. A QR code will be sent to the applicant once his file has been processed, without the ministry specifying the deadline.
“Initially, this device is reserved for people already present on the national territory or arriving by August 31. Requests for an arrival after this date will be taken into account later, ”the ministry said in a press release. While waiting for the QR code to be obtained, other means of obtaining a health pass are still valid for expatriates: a PCR or antigen test of less than 48 hours or proof of recovery after contamination with Covid-19 of more than 28 days and less than 6 months with a positive test.
When can I request a health pass after a vaccination?
♦ For vaccines requiring a single dose (Janssen), the vaccination schedule is complete four weeks after the injection.
♦ For vaccines comprising a double injection (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca), the scheme is completed seven days after the second dose.
♦ If you have been vaccinated after having recovered from the Covid and have therefore received only one injection, you should count one week after vaccination to qualify for a health pass.
