Hunarbaaz Winner: Akash Singh, son of Bihar won the trophy in his name, used to sleep on the road, practice in the park


Akash Singh won the Colors talent show Hunarbaaz-Desh Ki Shaan on Sunday, April 17. The dancer defeated Yo Highness, Band Rocknama, Band Harmony of the Pines, Sanchita and Shubhroto, Ustad Anirban and Sukhdev to win the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 15 lakh.

5 lakh reward to the runner up
Yo Hines, who finished second, won a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh. While Parineeti Chopra made her TV debut with Hunarbaaz, the judging panel also included Karan Johar and Mithun Chakraborty. The show was hosted by Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa.

Akash’s practice used to be in difficulties
Akash impressed everyone with his contemporary dance from the very beginning. His incredible ‘skill’ also caught the attention of judge Parineeti, who took care of him and even formed a brother-sister bond during the season. He not only inspired Akash but also supported him immensely. Throughout his journey, Akash experienced his share of failures but he always faced the challenge by raising his game even higher to become the champion.

Talking about his big win, Akash Singh in a statement said, “I can’t find words to express the emotions I am going through and it all feels so real. I started my journey on the show with a dream to become big and after winning the show today, I feel like I have completed everything. I would like to thank Karan sir, Mithun sir and Parineeti ma’am for guiding me throughout the show. Lastly, I would like to thank my family and friends for patting me on the back and supporting me in this life-changing journey.
