Isère: three individuals sentenced to 12 to 24 months in prison for ambushing police officers

The Bourgoin-Jallieu correctional court sentenced three individuals to terms of 12 to 24 months in prison for ambushing police officers on the evening of July 1, in the city center of the Isère city, France Bleu Isère indicates on Monday. July the 5th.

This July 1, photos of police officers were plastered in the Saint-Michel district in the afternoon. Agents decide to take photos of the walls but have been cursed. Later, around 10 p.m., at the same location, police were targeted and shot by mortars.

If one of the defendants admits having recovered photos of the officials on social networks, he says he did so only to “laugh” and not to target them. Another denies being the author of a mortar fire as footage shows him throwing a mortar into the air. The latter refutes all accusations. Their lawyer considers that the file is incomplete, that there is a lack of defendants, and will appeal these convictions.
