Under what conditions did the “Pibe de oro” die? Argentine justice is questioning. Sunday November 29, Argentinian news agency Telam announced that Diego Maradona’s doctor was the subject of an investigation for manslaughter, four days after the death of the football idol from cardiac arrest at his home.
Police raided Leopoldo Luque’s office and home on Sunday looking for evidence of possible professional negligence, according to images broadcast by television and legal sources cited by the Telam agency.
Argentinian justice opened an investigation last Friday to determine whether there was negligence in the death of Diego Maradona, the prosecution seeking to know if the world icon has received the necessary care. “There are already irregularities”, a family member told AFP.
Hours after his death, lawyer and friend of Maradona, Matias Morla, on Thursday denounced the fact “that the ambulance took more than half an hour to reach the house where the 10 was”. He warned that he would go “until the end”. But neither he nor any member of his family has yet filed a complaint, a judicial source told AFP.
