“Matrix Ressurections” sets out to meet the game “Fortnite” for an ultra-high challenge

Warner Bros and Epic Games have a nice surprise in store for their community in the creative mode of the famous video game Fortnite. While the third chapter of the battle royal arrived on December 5, 2021 with its share of new features, players can discover from December 16 to 24, 2021 a card honoring the film Matrix Ressurections, scheduled to hit theaters on December 22, 2021. The event arises in the form of a “deathrun”, where the goal is to complete the challenges as quickly as possible. To reach the end of the five stages and outsmart the Matrix, you will need to arm yourself with patience, skill and a good teammate. Because it will be possible to play as a duo to win.

The event takes up the universe of the next film directed by Lana Wachowski. According to Warner Bros France, this creation turns out to be “the very first playable trailer for Fortnite”. Among the cult elements of the saga, we find the training dojo where Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) teaches kung fu to Neo (Keanu Reeves) in the first Matrix or the city covered with code green.

To accompany the release of this “immersive trailer”, it is the youtubers Valouzz (2.66 million subscribers) and LeBouseuh (3.73 million subscribers) who will tackle this very tough challenge first. They will then launch a competition for players. The fastest of them to complete the “deathrun” will have the chance to receive a reward for Christmas.

But for the most assiduous followers of the title, it will be above all an opportunity to find Keanu Reeves. The actor previously modeled in the title in May 2019 with the character of John Wick who received a much-loved skin.

With this new partnership, Epic Games is once again showing its strength of attraction and also its ability to constantly renew its content. An important point for developers because Fortnite was beginning to suffer from a certain weariness among its users.
