Veteran actor Nana Patekar, who has always been in the forefront of helping the society, has expressed his opinion on ‘The Kashmir Files’ controversy in a conversation with ‘Aaj Tak’. Nana Patekar said that unnecessary controversy is being created by making and showing the film, which is not right. He says that both Hindus and Muslims are living in peace and harmony in the country. People of both religions are residents of this place. In such a situation, it is like spoiling the environment.
‘Society will be divided after watching the film’
Nana Patekar said, ‘India’s Hindus and Muslims are residents of this place. It is necessary for both the communities to live in peace and harmony. Both the communities need each other. Both cannot live without each other in the society. In such a situation, it is not right to create controversy due to any one film. When all the people are living in peace, then it is not right to create such ruckus. Those who are doing this should be asked to answer. After watching the film, the society will be divided into two, it is not right to create such rift in the society.

Significantly, after the release of ‘The Kashmir Files’, politics is also at its peak. Whereas at the box office, the film has earned Rs 95.50 crore in a week. Slogans are being raised in theatres. On social media, people are writing vulgar things for a particular community by calling the barbaric atrocities on Kashmiri Pandits as genocide. For this reason, the film is also being criticized. Recently, DCP rank officers in Delhi have also been issued a letter asking them to beef up security in those areas where people of mixed population i.e. different religions live.
Vivek Agnihotri gets Y category security
By the way, in the meantime, the central government has also given Y-category security to the director of the film, Vivek Agnihotri. It was told that Vivek Agnihotri was receiving death threats. The film ‘The Kashmir Files’ stars Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi and Mithun Chakraborty in lead roles along with Anupam Kher. The film was released on 11 March on 700 screens. Whereas considering the huge crowd at the ticket window, it is now being shown on more than 2000 screens.
