Now when will RRR and Jersey release, will 83 come on OTT? Know the complete pipeline of films in 2022

For the time being, it is being hoped that by February, the situation will once again become normal. Trade analyst and distributor Raj Bansal believes that by February, the effect of Corona may end. Thinking this, the dates of the films releasing in February have not been extended yet. Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Badhaai Do’ is scheduled to release on 4th of this month which is not being sent on OTT. After this, Ranveer Singh’s ‘Jayeshbhai Jordar’ and Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Shabaas Mithu’ are also to be released in February.
Will ‘Radhe Shyam’ and ‘Prithviraj’ also move forward?
Even though the release of films has been postponed, but this year the clash of many big films is believed to be fixed. After the release of RRR, it is believed that the release of ‘Radhe Shyam’ and ‘Prithviraj’ are also likely to be postponed. It is believed that RRR may release in September as only 2 films ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘Vikram Veda’ are to be released in that month. But still it is believed that if ‘Radhe Shyam’ and ‘Prithviraj’ are also released in this month, then their clash can be considered fixed.
RRR will not be able to go on OTT
Recently the release of ‘Jersey’ has been postponed. Now it is believed that this film can be taken on OTT. If reports are to be believed, OTT platforms are ready to pay 80 crores or more for this film. After having 25% occupancy in theatres, it is now being speculated that Kabir Khan can release 83 on OTT as well. As far as RRR going on OTT is concerned, it is not possible because the budget of this film itself is Rs 550 crores and no OTT platform would dare to bet on such a big film.
These films are to be released in March
Talking about other films releasing this year, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bachchan Pandey’, Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ and Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Anek’ are to be released in March. The problem is that if the release date of these films is also pushed forward, then the chances of clash in big films will increase even more.
