Five people were injured, including one seriously, Tuesday March 9 in the 16e arrondissement of Paris during a new brawl between young people involving minors, according to corroborating sources. The Paris prosecutor’s office said it had opened an investigation for attempted voluntary homicide, entrusted to the territorial security.

According to this source, at least three of the five injured were stabbed, and “The minority of four of the five injured has been established, the ages being between 16 and 17 years”, while the age of the fifth injured was still uncertain.
The brawl took place at the end of the afternoon at Porte d’Auteuil in the wealthy 16e arrondissement of Paris, near the Roland-Garros stadium and the Parc des Princes, said a police source.
Frequent but rarely fatal clashes
Several brawls between young people have taken place in recent weeks in Paris and its region. The last date of Monday evening in Champigny-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne), where two young people were seriously injured. One of them was in a coma on Tuesday evening, while the custody of four arrested minors was extended.
This clash comes two weeks after two other brawls, these deadly, in the neighboring department of Essonne on February 22 and 23. Two 14-year-olds were killed there in less than twenty-four hours.
