Two suspects were arrested with most of the loot the day after an armed robbery in a jewelry store in Paris, franceinfo learned from a judicial source on Wednesday, July 28.
The robbery took place around 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 27 at the Chaumet jewelry store, rue François Ier, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. An individual armed with an automatic pistol had burst into the shop, grabbed jewelry before fleeing on an electric scooter, according to a police source.
A journalist from franceinfo was able to observe on the spot that employees of the Chaumet jeweler had left the store under escort, Tuesday July 27 in the evening. The harm is “important”, said a police source. The investigation was entrusted to the Brigade for the repression of banditry.
