Rajinikanth Hospitalised: Rajinikanth hospitalized for routine health checkup

Indian cinema’s superstar actor Rajinikanth’s routine health has deteriorated a bit, after which he has been admitted to Kaveri Hospital in Chennai on Thursday. He had reached the hospital for routine checkup, but after some investigation, doctors advised him to be admitted. However, his health is said to be fine and it is understood that after some necessary medical tests, he will be discharged from the hospital in a day or two.

Rajinikanth’s team spokesperson Riyaz K. Ahmed told news agency ‘Bhasha’, ‘This is a periodic health check-up. He is presently in a private hospital for examination. Rajinikanth was in Delhi on Monday, 25 October for 70 years. He has been honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 67th National Film Awards ceremony. He was given this honor by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu at a function organized at Vigyan Bhawan. After this, he also met the country’s President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital.

Was admitted to the hospital in December too
In December last year too, Rajinikanth was admitted to the hospital. He was then admitted to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad due to exhaustion and fluctuating blood pressure. He was shooting for one of his films at that time. He was then discharged from the hospital within two days. He has also had kidney transplant.

Award dedicated to mentor and driver friend
While Rajinikanth on Monday expressed happiness over receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, he shared this honor with his mentor late filmmaker K. Balachander dedicated it to his friend, Raj Bahadur from his days as a driver and conductor in the Transport Department. It was Raj Bahadur who encouraged him to become a hero.
