Rohit Shetty-Akshay Kumar confirm, ‘Sooryavanshi’ to release on Diwali

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced on Saturday 25 September that all cinema halls in the state will be opened from 22 October next month. Theaters were closed since last year due to Corona virus. Now after the decrease in Corona cases, the government has decided to reopen cinemas. With this announcement of the Chief Minister, director Rohit Shetty has also announced the release of his film ‘Sooryavanshi’.

Sharing this news on social media, Rohit Shetty wrote, ‘Thank you to our honorable CM Shri Uddhav Thackeray. Finally, theaters are going to open in Maharashtra from October 22. Now you can say that this Diwali… the police is coming.’

Akshay Kumar, the hero of ‘Sooryavanshi’, has also thanked CM Thackeray. He tweeted on social media and wrote, ‘Today many families will be saying thanks to Shri Uddhav Thackeray. Grateful for allowing Maharashtra cinema halls to reopen from 22nd October. Now nobody will stop or stop – the police is coming.

Let us tell you that Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s lead role film ‘Sooryavanshi’ was scheduled to release on 24 March 2020 last year. After this its release was postponed due to Corona virus. An attempt was made to release the film in January and March this year as well, but in the meantime the second wave of Corona came. Now it is confirmed that this year it will be released on the occasion of Diwali.
