Barbora Krejcikova concludes her dream fortnight at Roland Garros in the best possible way. The Czech was crowned a second time at Porte d’Auteuil, in women’s doubles with her compatriot Katerina Siniakova, Sunday, June 13, after her singles victory the day before against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. She thus became the seventh player to win both singles and doubles the same year at the French Open, after Billie Jean King (1972), Margaret Court (1973), Chris Evert (1974, 1975), Virginia Ruzici (1978), Martina Navratilova (1982, 1984) and Mary Pierce (2000), now the penultimate to have produced it.

The Czech now has ten titles in duo, including three Grand Slam titles in ladies’ doubles with Katerina Siniakova (Roland Garros 2018, 2021 and Wimbledon 2018) and three mixed doubles titles with Rajeev Ram (Australian Open 2019 and 2021) and Nikola Mektic (Australian Open 2020). Thanks to this new performance, the two players will go from 7th and 8th in the world in doubles to No. 1 from Monday.
