Samantha gets a big chance, will be a bisexual detective in ‘Downtown Abbey’ director’s film

A big achievement has come in the hands of Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the superstar of South Indian films. Samantha, who made a special place in the hearts of Hindi audience with her character in ‘The Family Man 2’, has been given this opportunity by ‘Downtown Abbey’ fame director Philip John. The actress will now be seen in this BAFTA Award winning director’s upcoming project ‘Arrangements of Love’. Philip John is a well-known director of Hollywood. He has also made ‘The Good Karma Hospital’.

‘Arrangements of Love’ is being produced under the banner of Guru Films. The film is based on the 2004 best selling novel ‘Arrangements of Love’. The author of this novel is T.N. Murari is. In the film, Samantha will play the role of a Tamil bisexual detective who runs her own detective agency. Samantha’s character in the film is that of an independent woman with a hot mind. Welsh is playing the lead role in the film, who has come to India in search of his father. Samantha becomes a part of this quest.

Auditioning again after 12 years, I felt the same nervousness…. I guess it’s not everyday that you get a chance to audition for a BAFTA award winning critic’s favorite and director of Downton Abbey. I am jumping with joy, thank you Philip John sir for choosing me.

Says Samantha, “Today a whole new world has opened up for me as I begin my journey with Arrangements of Love. This is such a lovely and personal story. I am looking forward to working with Philip John. I have followed many of his projects very closely over the years. I am a fan of ‘Downton Abbey’. I look forward to working with Sunita once again. My role in the film is challenging and complex. This is both a challenge and an opportunity for me. I can’t wait to go on the sets.
