Ahead of the release, Shahid and his co-star Mrunal Thakur are busy promoting their film. Fans are also waiting to see Shahid in action again after almost three years. The screening of Jersey was held last night. Many celebs including Shahid’s family attended it. Now, the actor’s wife Mira Rajput has penned a heartwarming note for the film.

Talking about Jersey, the film is a Hindi remake of the Telugu film of the same name, in which Nani starred. It is directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri. Apart from Shahid and Mrunal, the film also stars the actor’s father and veteran actor Pankaj Kapur. Shahid will be seen playing the role of a failed cricketer who comes back to the field for his son.
