This is the reason that even though the films releasing this year are not being announced yet, the release calendar of next year has become housefull from now on. Producers from Bollywood to South have already booked the release dates of next year from January 26 to Holi, Eid, August 15, Dussehra, Diwali and Christmas. Industry experts believe that if the third wave of Kovid does not come, 2022 could become the highest grossing year for the film industry, with the highest number of mega-budget films released.
There will be a bang in theaters
The theaters may have been deserted for almost a year and a half due to Corona, but if we look at the schedule of next year’s films, then next year there is a big bang in theaters. The producers of South Cinema are so excited about the next year that they have postponed the films ready for release this year to next year. 2022 will start on January 14 with Prabhas’s film Radhe Shyam. At the same time, Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey will be released on Republic Day. The shooting of this film has been completed recently and now its post production work is going on. Ranbir Kapoor’s untitled film will release on Holi. Whereas on April 14, the next part of Kannada star Yash’s superhit KGF will be released.
There is talk of the release of Salman Khan’s film Tiger 3 on Eid, whose shooting is going on in full swing. At the same time, there is talk of Rajamouli’s ambitious film RRR also releasing on Eid. Prabhas’ mythological film Aadipurush will release on August 15. While there will be a clash between Hrithik Roshan’s Vikram Vedha remake and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal on the release date of Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra. Whereas Diwali can be a clash of Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu and Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan. On the other hand, there is talk of the release of the first part of Tiger Shroff’s science fiction film Ganpat on Christmas.
There will be clash of films
Theaters may have been closed for a long time, but filmmakers have continued shooting films as soon as they get permission from the governments. Apart from this, all the producers have completed the shooting of their films by going abroad. This is the reason why cinema halls may not be fully open yet, but all the films are not only ready for release, but by next year a large number of films will be ready for release. Producer and Film Business Analyst Girish Johar says, “The release of films in cinema halls may have stopped, but given the speed at which the shooting of films is going on, it would not be wrong to say that next year will have many big release dates. But films can clash.
Movies have already been announced on all the big release dates including next year’s Eid, Diwali and Christmas. While all the producers are waiting for it to start releasing in theaters once again. After that they will announce the release dates of their films. Next year after waiting for almost two years, all the producers would like to release their small and big films. If the next wave of Kovid does not come, then the next year i.e. 2022 is going to be great for the industry. At the same time, the audience is also going to get a bumper dose of entertainment.
