Ingredients needed to make Bathua Raita

  • 200 grams Bathua
  • 400 g whipped curd
  • 1 chopped green chili
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • 1 pinch asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp cumin and fenugreek
  • 2 tsp mustard oil
  • 1/4 tsp black salt
  • salt to taste

How to make Bathua Ka Raita Recipe

1- First of all, wash the bathua thoroughly in water and keep it for boiling.

2- You have to boil the bathua for about 8-10 minutes only. If it is boiling in the cooker, then apply only 1 whistle.

3- Now drain the water from the bathua and when it cools down, grind it a little coarsely in the mixer.

4- Now add bathua, salt, black salt and green chili to the whipped curd and mix.

5- To temper the raita, heat oil in a pan. Now put asafetida, cumin and fenugreek in it and make it brown.

6- Now add chopped garlic and fry it and while pouring the tempering in the raita, add some red chillies and mix it in the raita immediately.

7- Bathua Raita is ready. You can eat it with roti or paratha.

8- You can roast asafetida and cumin seeds on a pan without oil and grind them and put them in the raita.
