The Elysee Palace announced, Friday, December 3, the signing of an agreement with the United Arab Emirates for the purchase of 80 Rafale fighter jets and of 12 Caracal helicopters. This order is the largest obtained internationally for the French fighter aircraft since it entered service in 2004. “This is a major achievement of the strategic partnership between the two countries”, welcomed the French presidency in a press release.
