To compensate, the former Revelation of the Year award has been split into two: Female Revelation and Male Revelation. The “most streamed title” category has also been added. Franceinfo looks back on the winners and the highlights of this edition, marked by messages of solidarity for the world of culture.

Messages of support for the world of music and entertainment

From the opening, Jean-Louis Aubert, sponsor of this 36th edition, appealed to Roselyne Bachelot. “I take advantage of the presence, rather the absence of Madam Minister, not to ask for anything. Indeed, when I started music, I do not believe that the State was involved in it. (…) The State gave me nothing, I gave it back a lot. All I ask of you, Madam Minister, is to take care of all those who work around us: the technicians, the show organizers. Not long, just enough time to hit the road. ”

Several awarded artists had a few words for the intermittents of the show, the musicians, the technicians and all those who work behind the scenes for the holding of the shows, hard hit by the health crisis and the closure of concert halls. During the evening, Thomas Savy, musician of the Victoires orchestra, spoke at length on their behalf: “Madam Minister of Culture, don’t you hear the anxiety that turns to despair? How to live without exercising your art when it is the choice of a lifetime? When you’ve lost half of your income? “ He called for the extension of support for intermittents in the show who obtained a blank year from March 2020.

Behind the scenes, the Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot reaffirmed her support for artists to AFP. “Artists can’t perform on stage right now, but I’m working hard day and night with them to build a resilient model that will get us through this crisis. I am with the artists and I wish them a lot of courage. I am with them.
