The film ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ actress Vaani Kapoor is associated with the ‘Be The Change For TB’ initiative. Vani Kapoor, who became the face of this campaign to end the disease like TB, told how she got inspired to join this campaign. Vaani Kapoor answered some questions related to this.
Vani explained why she decided to join the ‘Be the Change for TB’ campaign. He said that 26 percent of the world’s TB patients are in India and a large number of youth in India are affected by TB. The most important thing in this is that not more than 4 lakh cases are reported every year. Treatment of TB in India is available free of cost to all, but still more than 1300 people die every day due to TB. I believe that youth can bring change and this thought inspired me and I decided to join the ‘Be the Change for TB’ campaign.
“My aim is to raise awareness about tuberculosis and to build a cadre of young TB changemakers who are ready to support the Government of India’s objective of making the country TB-free,” Vani said.
Vaani has also shot a rap video song with Kaam Bhaari. He said that the lyrics of the rap will prove to be successful in making contact with the youth of the country, which will reduce the burden of TB patients in India.
He said, “My next film Shamshera is very close to my heart, which I have worked hard to make entertaining. After the film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, I wanted to do a performance in front of the audience, which they would like once again. I wanted to do my best on screen and Shamshera brought that opportunity to me.
